Before beginning treatment with Fragmin, the amount of your dosage will be determined using several factors, such as your weight and the reason you are using this drug. This medication is given as an injection just under the skin once or twice a day. Make sure to take Fragmin as prescribed. If you stop taking it too soon, you may be increasing your risk for serious problems.
An Introduction to Your Dosage of FragminThe dose of Fragmin® (dalteparin sodium) your healthcare provider recommends will vary, depending on a number of factors, including:
- The reason you are using Fragmin
- Your weight
- Your kidney function
- Other medical conditions you may have.
As is always the case, do not adjust your dosage unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
