Riveroxaban

Were you looking for more information about Rivaroxaban? Riveroxaban is a common misspelling of rivaroxaban.

Rivaroxaban (Xarelto®) is a medication that is available by prescription only and helps prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT, also known as blood clots) after a hip or knee replacement surgery. It also prevents blood clots and strokes in people with an irregular heart rhythm known as atrial fibrillation. Unlike other similar "blood-thinning" medications that must be injected, rivaroxaban comes as a tablet that is taken by mouth once daily.

This medicine works by slowing down clot formation, allowing the body time to break them down naturally. To help ensure a safe treatment process, make sure to tell your healthcare provider about any other medical problems you might have, such as any type of bleeding disorder or kidney disease, as well as any other medications, vitamins, or supplements you are taking.
